Funding for 2-Year-Olds in Early Years Education:
A scheme that allows eligible children to receive free early years care and education from the term after their second birthday. This is part of a national offer from the Department for Education (DfE) and has been developed to improve outcomes for identified two-year olds who would benefit from accessing high quality early years and childcare provision. It will also help to tackle challenging circumstances, through family support.
Children who are confirmed as eligible will be offered up to 15 free early years education hours per week for 38 weeks you may also be able to “stretch” the free hours across your child’s funding year to cover most school holidays.

Funding for 3 and 4-Year Olds in Early Years Education:
Following the beginning of the term after your child’s third birthday your child will be entitled to claim from 15 hours up to 30 hours (for eligible children) ‘free time’ for 38 weeks of the year, you can also Stretch this offer to cover 51 weeks of the year so you receive the benefit of up to 22 hours per week.
