Yes, we offer places for eligible 2-year-old funded children and we also offer places for 15 hours and extended 30 hours entitlement to 3- and 4-year olds.

Each child will be assigned a key person, their role is to help build a secure relationship with both you and your child and they will be the person who ensures the care is tailored to your child’s needs.

  • Under 2 the ratios are 1:3

  • 3 and over 1:8 where qualified staff will be working directly with children

No as a nursery we provide your child with a home cooked meal and healthy snacks throughout the day

The manager holds a current level 5 qualification in childcare, and all other members of staff hold a level 3 or level 2 qualification.

All staff have a paediatric first aid certificate, which is updated every 3 years according to Ofsted and statutory framework requirements

Staff use a communication book to share information each day including things like, what your child has eaten that day, any nappy changes or toilet/potty training times and a daily activity that they have been working on.

We are open 52 weeks of the year, only closing on weekends and official Bank Holidays

What systems are in place for the sharing of information about a child’s development?

As a nursery we have multiple systems in place for information sharing, between the key person and parent. These include, communication books which are used on a daily basis, letting you know what your child has been up to during the day.

Development plans which are completed monthly and are in place, to show that parents and key person are working together on a common goal.

Children’s learning journals are of their entire nursery stay, which includes photos and observations of your child completing various activities and learning goals.

My child has been ill, can they still attend nursery?

If your child has been prescribed a medication that needs to be administered during their day at nursery, we will require you to fill out and complete our medication book.

Children who have been suffering from sickness or diarrhoea cannot attend nursery until 48 hours after the last bout of illness.

Should you require to see, we have the NHS guidance of infection control.

Do you offer settling in sessions?

Yes, here at Ann’s Wombles nursery we want your child to feel happy and confident before they start their full sessions. We offer free settling in sessions ranging from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours. We will continue these sessions until we think that your child, will feel more settled within the setting.

Do I need to pack my child a lunch?

No as a nursery we provide your child with a home cooked meal and healthy snacks throughout the day, our home cooked meals include, Cottage pie and veg. Mini roast dinner, Spaghetti Bolognese, Stew, Chicken nuggets chips and veg and more.
